Polaris Project, an anti-trafficking organization based in the United States and Japan, is promoting The National Human Trafficking Resource Center (NHTRC) Hotline (for the USA) is a 24-hour, 7 day a week, toll-free hotline to report any suspected human trafficking activities. The Hotline number is 1-888-373-7888.
Human trafficking issues can include: child labor, sex trafficking, abuse of migrant workers, as well as many other incidents that may be more common than people realize in the developed world. Regardless, it is illegal and immoral; having a “neighborhood watch” mentality can help quell a practice that can easily go undetected and go underground. Go to their site at www.polarisproject.org for resources and information about what to look for and other outreach opportunities.
Visit Polaris Project, and call the toll-free number if you have any information or suspicion regarding human trafficking in the U.S. Thank you.
