"WEED SEED"
by  John B.

Select text size - x-small,  small,  medium,  large,  x-large

This photo is taken of a seed from the Milk Weed plant. It is called milk weed because when cut or broken the plant has what looks like a milk type blood. The flowers from the milk weed give off a beautiful smell but the plant and flower is known to be toxic if eaten. However it is known as the main food source for the Monarch Butterfly. As you can see in the photo the milk weed seed has fibers that look and feel like silk.
