I was out in the green areas and I noticed this green caterpillar with its large yellow eyes. Luckily I had my camera near by and ran to get a macro photo. Once I took the photo I noticed that the yellow spot in fact wasn't the caterpillars eye. It seems to be a ploy to fool us larger creatures, and for a short time it actually worked on me. I also noticed the fluorescent blue spots which seemed quite colorful. I believe it is known as the Eastern Tiger Swallowtail and this caterpillar turns into a commonly seen yellow butterfly at least in this neck of the woods.
